Juggling Lessons: Your first ball.

The idea in
a nutshell:

Throw the ball in an arch shape, making sure it peaks in front of the destination shoulder.

How it's done:
To use the movies, if your right handed, copy the jugglers hands, and if your left handed (A sign of intelligence.) Imagine the screen as a mirror
It's easier to get the correct technique from the outset.

Begin with one ball in your dominant hand (i.e.: the one with which you write). Using a scooping motion from the outside towards the centre of your body throw the ball to around eye height, peaking above the opposing shoulder.

Your other hand will catch the ball on the outside of your body, then scoop it in towards your hips ready to throw it back.

You need to be able to do this in both directions, with as regular a rhythm as possible. Listening to the Rolling Stones helps...

Remember the arch shape - not unlike the logo of that fast-food outlet with the scary clown who loves his mum.

Now it's time for number two......

Start as you mean to go on...
