Return to CaptainFranko.com

The worlds worst juggler.

Here you can pick up the basics of juggling by following animated lessons.

Please Note:

There is an updated & expanded Juggling section in the main CaptainFranko.com site. It has much better animations and more detailed instructions. You can get there by clicking this link.

How to use these lessons.

Each lesson contains an animated GIF, as well as a written explanation of what you need to be doing. The movies shouldn't take too long to load. Feel free to save these files to disk, for your personal use, as they are licensed as freeware (i.e. they are not in the public domain). They are not licensed to be published elsewhere, or direct-linked from this site's servers without prior permission.

Hitler has only got 1 ball.

1 ball start.

Now, this bit's easy ! Ball juggling is more about throwing than catching. Add relaxation and rhythm to the mix and your half way there.

To begin, throw the ball from one hand to the other, following the shape of the arrow. Throw with your hand towards the centre of your body, and catch with the other hand slightly to the outside. Easy !

When you catch, just do the same, only in the opposite direction.

To read these drawings, if your right handed, copy the jugglers hands, and if your left handed (A sign of intelligence.) Imagine the screen as a mirror.

Now I've got 2 Balls.

two balls now !

You can do it! Throw the first ball as before, and when it reaches it's apex ( It's highest point- i.e. when the second arrow appears on the drawing.) Simply throw the second ball under it. It's far simpler than it seems !

Can you eat 3?

3 Ball Start.

This is the last stage! Throw the first and second balls as before, and when the second reaches it's apex ( You guessed it !), throw the third ball under it. When it gets to the top, throw the next one, and so on. It is simpler than it looks !

Juggling With Clubs.

Due to technical difficulties, the only club lesson currently available with the animation is lesson two.

This is not the end of the world though, as combining the method explained in Club lesson one, the animation in number two and your knowledge gained from the ball lessons will do the trick.

How do clubs work then?

two clubs now !

Now, this bit's nearly as easy ! Throw the first club as before, and when it reaches it's apex ( It's highest point- just like with the balls.) Simply throw the second club under it. Remember to use enough arm movement to avoid a collision It's a wee bit simpler than it seems !
